A Letter from our President:

The Berkeley chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, Co-Ed Pre-Law Fraternity International is one of the most respected and dynamic organizations on campus. Arriving here at Cal from a variety of backgrounds, BerkeleyPAD’s members are accomplished and unique individuals united through both a strong sense of fraternalism and a collective interest in the legal field. Since our inception in 2002, we have emphasized both tradition and innovation in the pursuit of our motto: “Service to the Student, the School, the Profession, and the Community.”

Through our bi-annual Free Legal Clinic, we actively demonstrate our strong commitment to the surrounding community. We also utilize our close ties with UC Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law to increase our exposure to both the legal field and to law school. We also boast a variety of opportunities, from Student Professor Dinners to a Peer Mentor Program, in order to maximize our abilities to grow and learn while here at Cal.

Berkeley Phi Alpha Delta provides its membership with unrivaled leadership experience, tailored professional development, and personalized opportunities to utilize each member’s unique talents. We also enjoy access to an accomplished alumni network: from Harvard Law School to Teach for America, BerkeleyPAD alumni span the globe and provide a priceless support system to both our current and graduated members.

Each semester, we deepen our ties to the legal community, expand our service to the campus, and provide our members with an enduring fraternalism. Everyone has something to gain from our chapter here at Berkeley. Investment in this fraternity will allow you to cultivate your personal strengths while concurrently learning from the strengths of your own peers. As we explore the legal field and take important steps towards our future careers, we learn to work successfully alongside one another, developing broad interpersonal skills, tolerance, and mutual respect for our brothers and sisters.
