One of the most respected and dynamic organizations on campus, the Berkeley chapter of Phi Alpha Delta is Cal’s premier pre-law fraternity. Hailing from all backgrounds, BerkeleyPAD’s members are united as brothers and sisters by a collective interest in the law and a commitment to the surrounding community.

Berkeley Phi Alpha Delta provides its membership with unrivaled leadership experience, tailored professional development, and access to an accomplished alumni network. Involvement in BerkeleyPAD is enriching, not only in terms of professionalism, but also in terms of personal development. As we explore the legal field and take important steps towards law school admission, we learn to work successfully alongside one another, developing broad interpersonal skills, tolerance, and mutual respect for our brothers and sisters.

Since our inception in 2002, we have emphasized both tradition and innovation in the pursuit of our motto: “Service to the Student, the School, the Profession, and the Community.” Each semester, we deepen our ties to the legal community, expand our service to the campus, and provide our members with an enduring fraternalism. Everyone has something to gain from our chapter. Investment in this fraternity will allow you to cultivate your personal strengths but also allow you to learn from the strengths of others.
